    awesome!
Do you have anything that reads from txt file and sending it to a list? I'm working on scramble game. All my code works perfect in java via NetBeans, but I do not know how to make the 2 connect.

    Hi,
Your tutorial is very nice, and also helpful to all. But one thing if you change in video that would be good,
Please notify the subject in your video title, or any other way to notify the video subject before play. (Example) if I want to search the JSON tutorial then i have to start all of the videos till 15th.

    Thanks,

It should be getContacted. Here is the Contact code newthinktank. com/2013/09/android-development-20/
I'm not sure why that would have happened

I teach pretty much everything required to make most any type of Android app in this tutorial. The Flashlight app is very easy. you basically just tell the device to turn on and keep on the flash. I'll add that to the list of things to cover 🙂

I will definitely cover GPS related stuff, Maps, etc. Playing youTube videos shouldn't be a problem either. The only thing I think I'll avoid is Facebook. The reason nobody does Facebook app tutorials is because Facebook changes constantly and breaks peoples apps. Even if I taught it to you, chances are in 2 months everything will have changed. I hope that makes sense 🙂

plz make android videos for facebook, youtube and gps API …there is no such tutorial on youtube.. most developers struggle to learn it..we will be thank full if u make it

I have a few questions wondering if you can answer them, If I watch all the videos in your playlist will I be able to create for example a simple flash light app? I don't necessarily want to put any apps on the app/play store as of now, I just want to create a few simple apps so when I graduate from school (I'm studying IT atm) I can put them in my portfolio.

You're very welcome 🙂 Probably the easiest thing to do is to look at the Android Playlist on my YouTube channel. I'll be making Android tutorials for the next few months. There is still a lot to cover.

  20. Derek Banas Avatar

I did that already in Android Development Tutorial Pt 6. I show how to read both xml and json. i hope they help 🙂

All I can do I guess is to tell you what I'd do? I'd tell the client that WordPress provides the cheapest, most secure, most flexible, and easiest to implement solution. I could try to use another tool, but it will cost at least twice as much and will take twice as long. I turn away every client that tells me how to solve problems. They are more trouble then they are worth. I hope that helps in some way 🙂

Hey Derek, Thanks for the quick answer! What i mean by the language option is basically creating a multilingual website, swtiching languages via clicking on a button. I have a very poor of knowledge on PHP but it seems like the solution. No google translate. WordPress is not helpful in my case because the clients dont want to have wordpress. 🙁 For this reason i am in the search of a light CMS. and i found something called "Perch". What do you think? It would be perfect to have a vieo on that!

    Bonjour Cher Coach,

Merci pour les vidéos sur Android.

Ces concepts peuvent être utilisés pour iPhone aussi?

    S'il vous plaît commenter.

    Restez béni.

  24. Derek Banas Avatar

Thank you 🙂 Sorry about the confusion. I made so many videos on so many topics I'm sure it is confusing. I'm not sure what you mean by language option? Do you mean for translation? If so, why not use WordPress, which I have tons of tutorials on, and use a plugin for translation. There are a ton of them. If that doesn't answer your question tell me.

  25. Derek Banas Avatar

Thank you 🙂 You're very kind. Yes I will cover setting up a restful service and reading data from a database and more

  26. Joel Smallwood Avatar

Fantastically the best tutorials on youtube. Thanks.
Are you going to cover connecting to an external database in Android? Like an app that complements a website?

  27. ALP Avatar

    Hi Derek!
Your videos are really nice! Love them. You have so many videos maybe i would never have much time to watch and learn them all. So i wanted to make a request if you could do a tutorial for creating a language option in a website with a cms. Because as a junior web designer i get some offers from small corporations, including cms and language options as well.
And if you already made a video please send me a link of it because its so hard to check your 200+ videos!
    Cheers!

Hi, Derek. I would like to know if in your videos you will, or have already touched the Bluetooth communication.
Thank you so much for this excellent Android tutorial.
