-

is there any updated tutorial for ajax and php, I mean retrieving data from server and using ajax. if not please make one sir. It would be helpful. And by the way incredible videos.
-
Hey Derek,
I love your videos. You are incredibly clear and give really nice examples that allow me to easily follow along and learn new technology quickly. Just one observation here: in a bunch of your slides you use " 's " incorrectly. For example, it should be tasks not task's, and nodes not node's. It's a bit distracting with this error floating around all over. Otherwise, great work π
-
Thank you for this tutorial. It's clear the quality of your tutorials got better over time. Is there a chance for an updated AJAX tutorial, seeing as this one is already 5 (almost 6) years old?
-
Derek, thank you very much for this tutorial π !!!
-
Thank you π Yes, I used to make that weird error many years ago. Sorry about that
-
I don't mean to be an a*hole but there are unwanted apostrophes. e.g "task's" instead of "tasks". just saying. Thanks for the awesome tutorials though!
-
You're very welcome π I'm very happy that you like them

This is a multipart tutorial, but I remade a new JQuery tutorial recently that is much better. Look for JQuery Video Tutorial on my YouTube channel
-
I'm confused, at what point in the example did you use a database. Do you use the $.ajax jQuery function at all in the tutorial? This seems like a basic jQuery tutorial..

-
Nice tutorial. But you might also want to check out some youtube tutorials on the correct use of apostrophes π
-
@bugsbane Interesting browser. Thanks for pointing it out. i don't understand the question though. Does Jquery not work with it or does the YouTube video not play?
-
@prexsoccer You're welcome π The presentation and music was created in Apple Keynote. One of the reasons I bought a Mac when my pc died. The screen cast was done with Quicktime X, which is free.
-
what kind of presentation is that?or effect?
thank you for you time. ^^ -
@prexsoccer I'm sure power point has transitions like that. It's much more expensive than Keynote, which I actually got for free. Sorry, my last PC died so I can't check π
-
amazing, is it possible to have that kind of effect in ppt or in xp OS?
-
@prexsoccer I record the screen with Quicktime X. The presentation was created in Apple Keynote. The video was edited using iMovie. All super cheap tools π
-
great tut.
by the way. what software or tool you use in the presentation?
I like the way it presented. -
@w1shEX Yes this is AJAX. AJAX stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. It isn't a language but instead it's a format for using multiple languages to pass information back and forth, from the clients browser to the server without reloading the webpage. That's pretty much it, but at the same time it is very valuable. I'm going to redo this tutorial over the next few weeks using 100% free software and I'll write the code live so that you can see that there are no tricks. Thanks π
-
@nattawornp Glad you like it. It was fun to make π
-
That's what i'm looking for, many thanks π
-
@MDreamer100 Glad you liked it. This was the first tutorial I was really proud of and I based all tutorials that came after off of this structure. It was fun to make as well
-
@cowpowersurge Thank you. I'm glad you found it useful
-
I just have to say that I'm very excited to watch the rest of your tutorials and I also apreciate you taking the time to create them, so far it seems like your tutorials on AJAX/JQuery are the best ones I've seen so far here on TY! π
-
