    If your border doesn't work, you have to do it the shorthand way. It fixed it. Here is the format.

    border: (pixels) (border-type) (color).
    Examples:

    border: 3px dashed green;
    border-top: 5px solid red;
    border: 6px dotted yellow;

    etc. hope this helps!

    you actually can just type away "border : red 10px dotted" . There's also box-shadow, which is pretty cool.

    Guys, I discovered that commenting in CSS makes the code not work.

    I figured out why the border attributes don't work as specified if done individually. If you're not doing the border like border: 1px dashed red; , then you have to put specify the border width first. Then you can put the color before or after the style and it will work. What I mean is shown below.  For safety, the first one does make more sense, but there shouldn't be any difference.
     border-width:3px; border-style:dashed; border-color:red;
     border-width:3px; border-color:red; border-style:dashed;

    what if you have another <h2> I love ??? </h2> but wanting a different color and paddings. you can't declare "h2" again right? cuz it will apply to both h2s. Then how do we do it?

  26. Jordan Alexo Avatar

    Hi the Bucky, great videos you have here. I already learned a lot from you. Thanks. Anyway, I tried the following code:

    border: 1px solid red;

    Before you said anything, just to see if it worked and it did. Is that also okay too?
